More Light on the Subject5 viewsI added a few torches near the pool to shed more light on the area, giving a better view. Water effects settings are on ultra quality here.Jul 17, 2010

Reflection5 viewsThis shows the water using the "Ultra Quality" setting (High Quality also looks nearly the same to me). It reflects light and objects in a blurred, rippled manner. Although with this setting there appears to be some kind of tearing effect at certain angles.Jul 17, 2010

Submersed Objects5 viewsThis is my character, Azazela, standing in the "water" - it clearly shows a distortion effect. Not nearly as nice as the real water, but still very nice. Jul 17, 2010

Pool with Slow Field - Reduced Water Effects7 viewsIf you reduce the "Water Effects" settings slider to "Medium Quality" you get the effect seen here, however the reflections are gone.Jul 17, 2010

The Tranquility Room6 viewsUsing the defensive item "Slow Field" (Arcane version here), a water effect can be created. With Ultra Mode, the water even develops reflections of the things around it. Jul 17, 2010

Azazela9 viewsThis one was a labor of love. My favorite City of Heroes character, Azazela. Half-sister to VuDu DawL, mate to Cale Westmarch, and mother of the demoness Naimah, and of Adara Westmarch, Az has endured an interesting career. The daughter of an Amazon war priestess, (who was in fact one of the Nephilim herself), she struggled all her life with her demonic roots.
V4, lovingly and painstakingly morphed by hand, custom makeup, and V4 bodysuit (http://www.daz3d.com/i/3d-models/-/victoria-4-2?item=4829&spmeta=rq&_m=d]) with expansion pack (http://www.daz3d.com/i/3d-models/-/victoria-4-2?item=4847&spmeta=rq&_m=d) with a texture resembling the "medieval armor" costume. The cape is from Adam Thwaite's Hero M4 (http://www.most-digital-creations.com/hero_m4.htm). Hair is Sensual hair (http://www.daz3d.com/i/3d-models/-/sensual-hair-v4?item=5082&_m=d ) . Post-work in Photoshop.

Naimah6 viewsLady Naimah, another of my "City of" characters - this one is not a hero, however. Pure evil, she is a princess among the Hierarchy of Hell. She killed her own mother and tried to destroy her young half-sister, Adara. She was subsequently defeated and bound (ironically) to serve Adara.
Rendered in DAZ Studio using V4 with the character "Emmie" (http://www.renderosity.com/mod/bcs/index.php?ViewProduct=73615), though highly customized. I desaturated her non-tat version skin textures, so she'd be very pale, and did a lot of changing on the face. Her soulless black eyes were done by adjusting surface shaders. I didn't like where the V4 eye reflection transmaps were sitting over the eye, so I made my own. The dress is a freebie from pjz99 at Renderosity but I couldn't find the download. (Will edit this if I get the info in reply to the message I sent him). It's called Dark Seduction and fit like a GLOVE, with no problems. One of the nicest freebies I have found! The gloves go with the dress. She is also wearing epaulets from Aery Soul's Soulbringer (http://www.renderosity.com/mod/bcs/index.php?ViewProduct=64585) with the color adjusted via surfaces. Her bottoms are from Angeluz Fantasy Armor (it's epaulets were just too ridiculously big) (http://www.daz3d.com/i/3d-models/-/angeluz-fantasy-armor?item=6647&_m=d) and the necklace is from Jasmina's bridal set (http://www.renderosity.com/mod/bcs/index.php?ViewProduct=65860&vendor=jasmina). I actually have a version for Victoria 2, and used CrossDresser (http://www.evilinnocence.com/crossdresser) to convert it for V4. The hair is Rose Curls (http://www.daz3d.com/i/3d-models/-/rose-curls?item=5953&_m=d). Some of the fog was created using the Fog Tool Deluxe III (http://www.daz3d.com/i/3d-models/-/fog-tool-deluxe?item=4095&_m=d). Other fog (including the stuff 'pouring' from the ledge above the altar) was added with post-work which was done, as always, in Photoshop. (EDIT - How could I have forgotten to mention THIS? The scene background is "The Vampire Cradle" ( http://www.renderosity.com/mod/bcs/index.php?ViewProduct=74766 ). )May 21, 2010

Sheken2 viewsSheken cloaks herself in shadow as she summons threads of darkness to hide her presence. She's finished her mission for the evening, cleaning out a nest of evildoers that were infesting the city sewer system. The young daughter of empath VuDu DawL, fathered by the archangel known as Bloodwynd, she developed powers of darkness like her father.
Now married to a reformed assassin, they both work as heroes, protecting the citizens of Paragon City.
Rendered in DAZ studio, V4, the 'sewer entrance' is a DAZ freebie (Corroded City) http://free.daz3d.com/free_weekly/detail.php?free_id=224 - the armor is the same Azazela's, just hand painted to Sheken's colors (V4 bodysuit w/expansion and custom texture). FX done in postwork, as always in PS CMay 21, 2010

VuDU DawL - Electric43 viewsDeLara Mandana, aka VuDu DawL, resident empath, and all around party girl. Sep 27, 2009

DawL90 viewsDeLara Mandana, known to the citizens as the empath VuDu DawL, surprised by her adversaries in an underground lab. It appears in throwing a few sparks around, something has ignited. Let's hope it is not explosive.
Character created with V4 lovingly morphed completely by hand. She is wearing the V4 bodysuit "leotard" transmapped and textured to loosely resemble the "Keyhole" outfit in City of Heroes (my version is a bit more...revealing). Her skin textures are Miria with a lot of alteration. The makeup is completely handpainted, including reshaping her eyebrows. The belt and cape are Adam Thwaite's Hero M4 (http://www.most-digital-creations.com/hero_m4.htm) with handmade textures. The belt is an adaptation of the "Metal Plates" and the cape is the "Transparent" (non-VIP) pattern. The background is Davo's MadLab. The containers are NightShift3D's freebies (YAY freestuff!) and another container that I cannot remember. Pose and lighting all done manually. Her "tramp stamp" is also hand-painted onto the torso texture. The shoes are HighHeels for V4. (No links - the DAZ store is DOWN this morning). The "smoke" from the container is a Jepes SteamZ. Postwork, as usual, in Photoshop. Lightning effects were created using wonderful free brushes from EasyElements.com (http://www.easyelements.com)!Sep 12, 2009
